January 2026, date to be announced, on campus and online

Short Courses in Art History at The Courtauld

Most Short Courses at The Courtauld are intended for everyone over the age of 16 (parental consent is required for under 18-year-olds); you have to be 18 or above for on campus evening lectures and Study Tours.  You can choose between on campus and online courses, or opt for a Study Tour, in the UK or abroad. Courses range from 2-hour Saturday study events to day-time courses lasting 2 to 5 days, and evening courses over 5 or 10 weeks. All in-person, and some online courses, include visits to galleries and museums.

Covering a global range of historical periods and art-historical themes, the Short Courses programme has much to offer to both novices and to participants with existing knowledge.

The next Open Event will take place on a Saturday in January 2026, date to be announced, on campus at Vernon Square from 10:30 to 12:15 and online from 12:30 to 13:30.  There will be a free programme of short, engaging talks by a number of our lecturers. This will be a great opportunity to meet our team over coffee and cake on our Vernon Square campus, or online.

We look forward to meeting you!

You will be able to book for our next open event in October; in the meantime, you can find out more about our programmes here.
